There is also a legend from Karva Chauth fasting that when Arjuna had gone to the Nilgiri mountain for penance and the Pandavas were facing problems. Then Draupadi requested Lord Krishna for help. On this Lord Krishna suggested Draupadi to observe Karva Chauth fast. Draupadi obeyed Lord Krishna and duly observed this fast. As a result of this Arjuna came back from penance and the problems of all the Pandavas also ended.
