In these 9 days, Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri will be worshiped in the form of Goddess Durga. 1.Mata Shailputri

Mata Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Navratri. She was named Shailputri because of her birth stone. She is also the wife of Lord Shankar in the form of Parvati. Her vehicle is a bull and she holds a trident in her right hand and a lotus in her left. The mantra to please them is-

Vande desiredlabhay, Chandradhakritshekharam.

2. Goddess Brahmacharini

Goddess Brahmacharini is worshiped on the second day of Durga Puja. Maa Brahmacharini holds a lotus in one hand and a kamandal in the other. According to the scriptures, Mother Brahmacharini did hard penance for thousands of years, after which she was named Tapashcharini or Brahmacharini. Mata Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Shardiya Navratri. According to legends, when there was darkness in the universe, Mother Durga created the universe in this form. That is why she is known as Kushmanda. Goddess Kushmanda has eight arms and rides a lion. Chakra, mace, bow, kamandal, bow arrow and lotus are installed in all the arms. Maa Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Durga Puja. According to the beliefs, worshiping them brings wealth, opulence and salvation. His complexion is as bright as gold and has four arms. 8. Goddess Mahagauri

Goddess Mahagauri is duly worshiped on the eighth day of Navratri festival. The mother rides a bull and her color is also Gaur i.e. white. Their clothes are also of white color and they have four arms. Mother Mahagauri holds Abhaya Mudra, Trishul, Damru and Vara Mudra in all the four arms. Worshiping them removes all kinds of sorrows and pains and the mantra to please them is-

Shwete Vrushe Samarudha, Shwetambardhara Shuchih.

9. Goddess Siddhidatri

Mata Siddhidatri is duly worshiped on the ninth and last day of Navratri festival. Worshiping them leads to attainment of Riddhi-Siddhi and all the troubles are removed. Mother has four arms in which she holds lotus, chakra, mace and conch. Goddess Siddhidatri rides a lion and the mantra to please her is-

siddhagandharvayakshadhaiah, asurairamarairapi.
